Safe, non-toxic insect and parasite control solutions for animal health.
Poultry Mite Dust
Poultry Mite Dust is designed to treat northern fowl mite infestations. Application is intended for either breeder or layer operations.
Effective – Kills all stages of mites (adults, nymphs, eggs). Field results indicate that sustained control is gained by breaking the mite lifecycle. The result is long-lasting control.
Safe – Ingredients are safe for animals, people, and the environment when used as directed. Product is exempt from registration pursuant to EPA FIFRA guidelines.
Practical – No need to remove birds. Treatment is designed to be applied directly to birds in a caged layer system or throughout the house for self-dusting in cage free systems or breeder/broiler operations.
Field-proven
Poultry Mite Dust can also be used to eliminate bed bug infestations.

Scientific Studies
Reduction of Northern Fowl Mite Per Bird Over Time in a Layer House
Fowl mite infestations can cause major production losses, including a 10–15% reduction in egg laying, reduced weight gain, up to 6% blood loss daily, and reduced seminal fluid.
PureScience Poultry Mite Dust is efficient and effective: one application controls fowl mites for more than 12 weeks.
Reduction of Northern Fowl Mite Per Bird Over Time in a Breeder House
Field trial results show that just one application of PureScience Poultry Mite Dust virtually eliminates poultry mites in layer operations (shown above) and breeder operations.
Testimonials
“The applications were easy – by the end of week 4 we found virtually no mites on any of the birds in the house. We have been impressed with the results and the safety of this product for the birds and the workers.”
Poultry Operation Manager, 2016
“We are using PureScience Poultry Mite Dust exclusively as our mite control program. We are seeing labor savings of about 50% compared to the protocol we used previously. With other programs we experienced production losses of 10-15% with application, but with PureScience we have experienced no loss and no disruption in production.”
